Review by Boolino

The world of mythology is an enthralling one, and what's more, is the origin of all our literature. Historically the gods of Olympia were those who dominated the lives of men and, as good deities should, they each held power over something, albeit always exercised under the supervision of Zeus. The myths are so interesting because they all interweave, forming a hierarchy that gives continuity to the divine race. However, for many of us it is a world that is so complicated that it is difficult to find a common thread to help us unravel it. But what if we were to meet someone who is the son of one of the gods who explains everything using our own vocabulary, and in a fascinating way to boot? Well as luck would have it, here is Percy Jackson, the number one troubadour of mythology.

The frenetic adventures of this demigod are described in his own words, and through them he introduces the main mythological beings in the following way: "If you like horror films, bloodbaths, lies, theft, stabs in the back and cannibalism, carry on reading, because without doubt this was the Golden Age of all that." This encyclopedia is divided into chapters that start from the creation of the Universe and continue all the way to the war between the gods and the Titans. In addition, there is a chapter for each of the 12 most important gods, and everything is narrated through the voice of Percy, which is fresh, attractive, fun and sarcastic, as he tells us the ancient Greek legends as if it were a kind of reality show. Modern elements are also included, such as Facebook, Tumblr, playing Twister, etc. In this way what might have seemed boring becomes witty and interesting, thanks to the voice of Percy Jackson.
